A Summer in Brazil

I am 18 years old and I am living with my cousins, who serve as missionaries in Brazil, for the summer. I am doing this blog so that everyone back home can keep up with me for the 9 weeks that I will be here. Who knows, I may continue doing it when I get back home so that Michawn and others that dont see me often can keep up with me.

Life on the line

So every Monday I get to do my laundry. Do I sound excited and thrilled? Well partly so and partly not. The washer we have is about half the size of the one at my house in the states and it takes two hours to do one load of laundry! TWO HOURS!! We do not have a dryer so I get to hang the clothes on the line. I never thought I would like hanging clothes on the line, but for some reason I really enjoy it. I dont know what it is about it that makes me enjoy it. Now do I enjoy it so much that when I have a family I will use that method of drying clothes....ummmm probably not. I am just one person and have lots of clothes, I cant imagine being like Michawn and hanging clothes for 6 people. Here are some pictures of my clothes minus one load and a load of sheets.

About Me

Gillian Day Hough: I am 18 years old. I was saved by Jesus Christ on Sept 11, 2000 when I was 11 years old. God called me to the Ministry when I was 12. He then showed me my place of service was mission work, so I started going on Local, State, National, and International Mission Trips at the age of 12. When I was 13 I started serving as Children's Camp Counselor. I am now the Assistant Music Minister at my home church where I lead praise and worship every Sunday, I work with the children on Wednesday and Sunday nights, I speak to youth groups about my mission work, and I love my Savior. I love spending time with my large family and my friends. I love kids, they make me so happy and give me joy. I am obsessive compulsive. I can never stay awake to watch a whole movie. I love taking pictures and having my pictures taken. I love to travel. I am an early bird, not a night owl at all. My PJ's have to match. I like feet, yes I know im weird, but I look at peoples feet. I am spending the summer in Brazil with my cousin Michawn, her husband, and their 4 children which brings me to getting this blog.
