Gillian,
You are so special! I know this is so much help to Michawn and Joel. It frees her up to learn Portuguese. Have you learned any yet? The kids get to really know someone from "home" for the summer - a connection. The orphanage is a really big deal to me. Such a sweet service. Let me know more about it. I'm glad you have free time and "pool" time. That's summer after all. You will be greatly missed when you leave. You cried upon arrival. Michawn will cry when you leave. :) Tomorrow is last day of VBS. We have had 80+ kids all week. I have had a really good time - don't know about everyone else. It just seems to have run so smoothly this year. My class is whether anyone else's is or not. Very smooth. They are a joy to teach. Today they were so eager to participate and learn. One little boy shared so much about his life. I just let him talk. He was matter of fact and you could tell he just wanted someone to listen. Very rewarding. Now we are really close as a class and tomorrow is the last day. But seeds have been planted and God will nurture them. Have fun! Write down some of the goofy things Eissa does. Know she is a hoot!

Aunt Nena
Hi, sweet Gillian,
Your schedule for each week is full and surely satisfying. I'm excited to know you're going to be helping in the orphanage, that will certainly be a blessing.
Yesterday we went to Ding Darling Wildlife Refuge, took a trolley tour through it--so interesting! We rode bikes all over the island and got really hot, but it was fun.
Today we're going to visit the Historic Museum and Village, maybe Old Town Sanibel, and the Lighthouse. This evening we'll go to Captiva and have dinner. There really is alot to do and see that we normally don't take advantage of. My favorite of everything though is THE BEACH!
Monday night we watched Bella. Lisa said we wouldn't cry when I asked if I should get kleenex out. She lied. (lol)
We love you so much, GiGi WaWa! Keep up your blog--we like it alot!

No I have not learned any Portuguese yet. Joel wants me to use Michawns software for the computer and learn some. He says its really easy but im not so sure about that. lol. I talked to Colby yesterday on the internet and he was saying VBS was a lot more fun this year. He is really enjoying it too. Im excited about the orphanage but not so thrilled about the lack of communication. I guess I will have to make up some sign language. I do need to write down some of the things Eissa does, she is soooo funny. She is for sure the comedian of the family.
Momma
Michawn and I watched Bella one of the nights the first week I was here. Aunt Nena sent it to her, but I had already seen it. I opened it up the night yall went to the rodeo and watched it cause I was bored. I am trying to keep it up. Its kinda some work when I want to post pictures because you have to resize them all after you get them on the computer and when you put them on your blog you have to do a lot of cut and pasting them where you want them. Well im about to take the kids to the park.
Love you all!
Gillian,
I love your pics. we miss you.
I wish we could come there.
have fun!
Love,
Noelle
